Are immediate dentures right for me?
You might be a prime candidate for immediate dentures if you’ve lost your teeth as a result of illness, injury, or decay, and need full dentures. Immediate dentures offer you the benefit and convenience of never having to be without teeth. Keep in mind, however, that your mouth will need time to heal from the loss of your natural teeth and the immediate denture inserts. Your dentures will need to be relined to ensure your denture fit stays precise and comfortable.
Are partial dentures the right choice for me?
Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. The most common type of partials has a cast metal frame. Unlike full dentures, which replace all of your natural teeth, partial dentures only replace missing teeth. the prosthodontist takes measurements of your jaw and makes models of your mouth so they can construct your new dentures in their lab as efficiently as possible. Partial dentures with metal frames securely anchor to your existing teeth and stay in place without the use of dental adhesives.
A more cost-effective alternative is acrylic partial dentures. They tend to be cheaper than partials with metal frames, but they also need to be replaced more often. Acrylic partials are usually a short-term solution that’s worn while the dentist makes permanent bridges or partials.
Can my dentures be repaired?
Depending on the type of repair needed, our expert prosthodontists can make minor repairs on-site, or will send to our lab for repair.
